Would you benefit from having a more efficient memory? Linda Sasser will present an educational and entertaining program, “Don’t Forget! Tips for Improving Memory,” on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. You will discover how memory works and the differences between sensory, short-term, and long-term memory. You will learn how various lifestyle factors impact memory and strategies you can use to remember people’s names and other information. Linda Sasser, who holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, is Associate Professor of Education and Director of the Master of Education Program at Judson College in Elgin. She has been speaking and teaching about memory for more than twenty years.
Please join us for “Butterflies: Magic in the Garden” on Thursday, May 17, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Make your wish for butterflies come true! Find out how easy it is to attract butterflies to your yard and garden. Learn about these beautiful creatures, how to site a butterfly garden, and how to grow the flowers and plants they find irresistible. You will learn about the butterfly cycle, migration habits and plant preferences. A University of Illinois Extension, DuPage County Master Gardener Pat Miller will present this lecture with slides.
